FIRST RACE: 1. BENESH (best bet), 2. Last One Standing, 3. Navy Hymn. LONG SHOT: D. Shifflett.

Trainer John Sadler is lights out in these maiden claiming races and this son of Street Boss takes the huge drop from MSW to MC 70,000. Jockey Victor Espinoza takes the mount and is 21% with Sadler.

==

SECOND RACE: 1. Big Sugar Soda, 2. No Contingency, 3. May B. LONG SHOT: Justification.

==

THIRD RACE: 1. Ghost of Navigator, 2. Proud Captive, 3. Miltee. LONG SHOT: Lucky Shoes to Win.

Another take the big drop from MSW to MC $20,000. This son of Mineshaft has been gelded since his last start and puts blinkers on for Northern California-based O.J. Jauregui, who is 27% with this kind of move. Ghost of Navigator is owned by Bloom Racing, which won Thursday’s featured Oceanside with Soul Driver.

==

FIFTH RACE: 1. Ramona’s Wildcat, 2. Hooligan, 3. Xoxo. LONG SHOT:  Not too Shiny.

Believe it or not, trainer Doug O’Neill has done well at Del Mar in turf sprints. This daughter of Wildcat Heir (14% turf sire) must find space because she has not early speed. That will be the job of Hall of Fame jockey Alex Solis.

==

Trainer M.C. Reardon is 24% with horses off a layoff of 90 days or more as this gelding hasn’t been seen since September at Suffolk Downs. This 4-year-old makes his turf debut and showed speed in two maiden races. The sire Wildcat Heir is 13% with first-time turf.

Race 4: #4 Hank’ster (4-1)

Trainer Jason Da Costa is 28% at the meet and he decides to put blinkers on this son of Wildcat Heir, who finished sixth in this debut. Da Costa and jockey Fernando De la Cruz are looking for more speed as this 3-year-old drops his claiming price in half ($50,000 to $25,000).

==

Race 9: #1 Shaikha (turf only) (8-5)

This 5-year-old mare has been facing way tougher in New York and before that at Gulfstream Park. She has 7 runner-up finishes in 16 lifetime starts and might finally have found a class level she can win at. She has tactical speed and jockey Dyn Panell is 24% with trainer John Rigattieri.

==

SIXTH RACE: 1. Prettypreciousheir, 2. Miss Centerfold, 3. Megyns Gold. LONG SHOT: Avenge.

The Leandro Mora barn, aka Doug O’Neill, has been on fire since O’Neill went on suspension. PRETTYPRECIOUSHEIR (6-1), a 2-year-old by Wildcat Heir, has early-win breeding and should love the Del Mar Polytrack with leading jockey Rafael Bejarano aboard.

==

SEVENTH RACE: 1. Goodison Park, 2. Eddie’s Turn, 3. Husband’s Foley. LONG SHOT: Play Hard to Get.

==

EIGHTH RACE: 1. Diamond Majesty, 2. Alright Alright, 3. All Indians. LONG SHOT: Prime Engine (SCRATCHED) new long shot: Sebastian’s Heart.

==

NINTH RACE: 1.Hadfunlastnight (best bet), 2. Life a Riley, 3. Regally Soul. LONG SHOT: Giant Ego.

HADFUNLASTNIGHT (9-2), a gelding, loves to win races, especially on synthetic surfaces (6-for-13) and on Del Mar’s Polytrack (4-for-8). He takes a drop in class but should be forwardly place by jockey Elvis Trujillo for trainer Victor Garcia, who is 27% with the jockey. There’s no way to get 9-2 on this horse as there have been scratches and will be two more Saturday morning as there are two “stuck” horses.
