==

SECOND RACE: 1. Taelyns Prince, 2. I’vegotafeeling, 3. Home School. LONG SHOT: Toowindytohaulrox.

==

THIRD RACE: 1. Harlan’s Vitesse, 2. Close to the Edge, 3. When We Met. LONG SHOT: Fly Blue.

==

FOURTH RACE: 1. Demonic, 2. Conquest Two Step, 3. Hadfunlastnight. LONG SHOT: My Samurai Warrior.

==

FIFTH RACE: 1. He’s On His Toes, 2. Shaniel, 3. Criminal Element. LONG SHOT: Deputy Heat.

==

SIXTH RACE: 1. Motown Men (best bet), 2. Gladding, 3. Ezio. LONG SHOT: Wildcat Moon.

Trainer Phil D’Amato took over the stable for Mike Mitchell and hasn’t missed a beat. D’Amato is 23% first time with a horse and 40% with horses off a layoff of more than 180 days. MOTOWN MEN, a 5-year-old, has a win at Del Mar on the Polytrack and a good work coming in.

==

SEVENTH RACE: 1. Mucho Blessings, 2. Windy Forecast, 3. Diva Express. LONG SHOT: Maybellene.

Make no mistake about it: this is a loaded 2-year-old filly maiden special race so why not go with a price. MUCHO BLESSINGS (12-1), a daughter of Macho Uno, will appreciate the extra distance and trainer Peter Eurton is better with second-time starters.

==

EIGHTH RACE: 1. Miss Serendipity, 2. Wishing Gate, 3. Moulin de Mougin. LONG SHOT: Cozze Up Lady.

==

NINTH RACE: 1. Juliet’s Tizzy, 2. Victory Parade, 3. Broadcaster. LONG SHOT: Hidden Zensation.

Santa Anita Park selections for Thursday, June 5

FIRST RACE: 1. Always an Angle, 2. Soar Home, 3. Super Defence. LONG SHOT: Wildly Excessive.

==

SECOND RACE: 1. Mahalo Princess, 2. Burns Turn, 3. Thermal Nermal. LONG SHOT: Le Fascinator.

==

THIRD RACE: 1. Heart of Paradise (best bet), 2. Screaming Skylar, 3. Meta Mu. LONG SHOT: C’Mon Sister.

Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer sends out HEART OF PARADISE, a first-timer by the sire More Than Ready, who is good first time out. Hollendorfer is 29% with first-timers and 23% with 2-year-olds. Hollendorfer has already sent out one first-timer this meet. Jockey Corey Nakatani jumps aboard.

==

FOURTH RACE: 1. Theatre Star, 2. Kathleen Rose, 3. Unusual Hottie. LONG SHOT: Spring Bloom.

==

FIFTH RACE: 1. Wine Country Wanda, 2. Lust for Life, 3. Charissa. LONG SHOT: Italian Hamony.

==

SIXTH RACE: 1. Wonderful Lie, 2. Tiz a Kiss, 3. Casey’s Clem. LONG SHOT: Toppers Sunshine.

==

SEVENTH RACE: 1. Macias, 2. Graeme Crackerjack, 3. Fit to Rule. LONG SHOT: Cook Inlet.

==

EIGHTH RACE: 1. Sir Macho, 2. Hobbits Hero, 3. Go Black Tie. LONG SHOT: Green Tag.

SIR MACHO, a 3-year-old gelding, draws an outside post going a route of ground on the turf, but jockey Corey Nakatani should be able to work out a nice trip. Trainer Richard Baltas has been on fire (31% with claimers) and has put in a couple of big works into the son of Macho Uno.

Santa Anita picks for Saturday, March 29

FIRST RACE: 1. Roman Wild, 2. Lady Regina, 3. Screamin Earlienne. LONG SHOT: Big Break.

==

SECOND RACE: 1. Pillow, 2. Loan Savant, 3. Sushi Empire. LONG SHOT: Papa’s Flashy Girl.

==

THIRD RACE: 1. Abide in Me, 2. Indian Safari, 3. Zensational Beauty. LONG SHOT: Always an Angel.

==

==

SIXTH RACE: 1. Honduran, 2. Seeking the West, 3. Mel’s Game. LONG SHOT: Midnite View.

HONDURAN, a 4-year-old, returns after an 11-month layoff following a second-place finish on Woodbine’s synthetic track. However, this son of Macho Uno broke his maiden on the dirt at Gulfstream Park so he should have no trouble with the surface switch. He has been training well while jockey Corey Nakatani and trainer Vladimir Cerin are a 27% combo.

==

SEVENTH RACE: 1. One Time Only, 2. Moone’s My Name, 3. Oscar Party. LONG SHOT: Fanticola.

==

EIGHTH RACE: 1. Segway (best bet), 2. Blueskiesnrainbows, 3. American Blend. LONG SHOT: Niagara Falls.

SEGWAY, a son of Giant’s Causeway, has never run on the dirt in seven lifetime races, but he has trained on it and Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella knows this 5-year-old can get the distance. Having jockey Gary Stevens aboard doesn’t hurt either.

==

NINTH RACE: 1. Seraphic Slew, 2. Turn On, 3. Ay Ay Ay. LONG SHOT: Warren’s Cracker.
