Los Alamitos RC opinions for Saturday, Sept. 13

Race 3: #3 Summerofsixtythree (4-1)

This 3-year-old filly has finished fifth in her first two races for trainer Tom Proctor. The daughter of Malibu Moon comes out of a race where the top two finishers came back to win.

==

Race 8: #3 Sharla Rae (7-2)

This daughter of Afleet Alex broke her maiden over this track and then finished fourth in the Grade II Sorrento behind Sunset Glow. She’s had five weeks off and a good work at Santa Anita. Maybe she likes dirt a whole lot more than Polytrack.

Apprentice jockey Drayden Van Dyke has been a star at this new meet and trainer Doug O’Neill gets him to ride SHARLA RAE, a  firster by Afleet Alex. The 2-year-old filly had a good work three back, which shows she should be ready to go.

Trainer Keith Desormeaux ships LA GRANGE, a 2-year-old filly, from a second place finish at Arlington Park into a stakes race. Being by the sire Curlin and out of a Awesome Again mare, she should love the dirt surface. Jockey Kent Desormeaux rides for his brother.
