Note: Racing secretary David Jerkens told me Thursday Del Mar plans to run Friday despite a wet weather forecast and “monitor” the weather. Best guess, Del Mar will run and take races off the turf this weekend if they need to.

NOTE II: As suspected Del Mar is off the turf today due to the weather. No handicapping for me today. No idea what the Del Mar main track will be in. My best guess is that speed will do well. It’s my opinion the tighter the track, the more speed does well and if the track has moisture, especially on Friday nights at Del Mar, look speed horses.

Not sure what will happen tomorrow. I know Del Mar wants to stay on turf for stakes tomorrow if at all possible, but we’ll see. Sorry.

NOTE III: In race 4, which is off the turf, #8 Kitten’s Spa has two wins and a third on an off track so watch out. Also in race 8, #1 Neptune’s Storm has a second on an off track.
