Del Mar, Horse racing

Jeff Nahill’s Del Mar Opinions

Note: As you can tell, Sunday was a washout. First no win day of the meet, I think. Just bad job of handicapping. Or maybe just putting in the right order as you can see six horses I picked second won. No excuse. I will say Del Mar is the toughest meet to handicap because it refuses to go with a 48-hour scratch time like many other tracks so I’m handicapping the day before on some of the things I do, but I also have a full-time job to do also. The old saying in the press box is, “It’s Del Mar.” In other words, it will never change.
