I visit the area each summer to attend the Del Mar meet. I read your selections and welcome them. Several questions:
do you ever include text with your selections to support your selection?
what is the most effective way to play your Longshot selections?
what quantifies a longshot? ex: morning line exceeds 5/1?

To be honest I don’t have time for text. I work full-time on the sports desk at the Union-Tribune do that from 2:30-10:30 Thursday thru Monday so I have to try and finish my picks before work starts (not all the time LOL). I say just play the long shots straight and maybe back wheel with the top 3 choices. I try to get double-digits on a long shot. Some races I might go as low at 4-1 or 9-2 if the rest of the field is hopeless. I’m always looking for prices and this weekend I’ve been lucky
