Del Mar, Horse racing

Del Mar fall meet opinions for Friday, Nov. 30

PREVIEW: I knew Thursday would be off the turf and I feel the same way about today’s card. With closing weekend’s big turf races, I don’t see any way Del Mar runs on the grass today.
That being said, there is one horse I like if it is run on the turf or the main track: No. 5 Rapid Red (3-1) in the eighth race. This gelding was claimed last time out by Jerry Hollendorfer. The 6-year-old has an 11-2-3-3 on the dirt and 11-4-1-3 on the grass. If the track is still wet, he is 7-2-1-1. Hollendorfer is 17 percent first off the claim.
Check back in the morning if Del Mar changes its mind or if there are a lot of scratches, again.
