In dirt sprints, posts one through three are winning 35.5 percent of the time, but posts six and seven are scoring 30.8 percent.
In main track two-turn races, the inside two posts are at 30.6 percent while post five through seven are at 37.2 percent.
It’s more of the same on the turf course.
Posts one and two are scoring 28.6 percent of the time while posts six and seven are winning at a 22.5 percent rate. Most interesting is that post No. 9 is winning 15.3 percent of the time when it’s occupied (9-for-59) and post No. 11 wins 19.4 percent (6-for-31).
