Preview: The Del Mar main seems awfully slow. There is some grumbling around on both sides. Check out the workout times and the times of the races. There have only been two horse deaths this season (one on the main track and one on the grass). It will be interesting to see how this track is come Breeders’ Cup time. I think SoCal horses will have a big advantage and that’s why I’m surprised more Eastern-based horsemen haven’t tried to run over this track this summer.
