I think the race two back is better than it looks and trainer Vann Belvoir puts the red-hot apprentice Evin Roman aboard.

Trainer Doug O’Neill drops this 4-year-old into a maiden claimer for the first time and tries turf. The sire Speightstown gets 12% winners first time on the turf.

Race 8 – SA
#4 Vow’s Son (7-2) ****
Trainer Mike Puype drops this 3-year-old to his lowest level in the maiden claiming ranks. Puype is 50% dropping a horse two or more levels. He is also putting blinkers on so the 3-year-old is more focused.
