Santa Anita opinions for Saturday, April 1

Race 5 – SA
#7 Where’s the D (4-1) ****
Our Eyes: A lot going for this filly as she takes a drop in class, but leading rider Flavien Prat stays aboard. Trainer Peter Eurton is 20% going turf to dirt and 25% with Prat.
Jeff’s Playbook: 4 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show.

Race 6 – SA
#5 Quick Finish (6-1) ****
Our Eyes: Trainer Dan Blacker (aka Mr. Christina Olivares Blacker of TVG) hasn’t started many at the meet but he has a great record of 10-3-2-0. He’s is also 3-for-9 with first-timers in the last year like this son of Vronsky, which gets 13% winners first time out. That last work is screaming to bet this one.
Jeff’s Playbook: 4 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show.

Race 10 – SA
#3 Awesome Heights (8-1) TURF ONLY ***
Our Eyes: This colt is coming out of one of the most productive maiden races of the meet as four winners from eight starters have come out of the Dec. 26 race. Neil Drysdale can get one ready, especially on the turf and good turf jockey Norberto Arroyo Jr. rides.
Jeff’s Playbook: 3 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show.

Good luck.
