Horse racing, Tampa Bay Downs

Tampa Bay Downs opinions for Friday, March 10

Race 3 – Tam
#6 Tap Me Free (4-1) ****
Our Eyes: This filly is taking a drop in class after running on the Kentucky circuit and comes out of a key race that has produced three next out winners. Leading jockey Daniel Centeno takes the mount.
Jeff’s Playbook: 4 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show. EXBX 6-3.

Race 5 – Tam
#1 Blue Moon Diamond (12-1) TURF ONLY ****
Our Eyes: Drops into a maiden claimer for the first time, always a potent angle. Also first time turf and ran two turns on the all-weather at PID. Didn’t belong on the dirt so will try grass.
Jeff’s Playbook: 4 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show.

Race 6 – Tam
#7 Travel Required (7-2) ****
Our Eyes: This gelding is dropping in class and coming out of a key race that has produced two next out winners. Trainer Michelle Boyce is 24% third off the layoff.
Jeff’s Playbook: 4 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show.

Race 10 – Tam
#6 Hazel W (15-1) TURF ONLY ****
Our Eyes: Throw out the last two and look three back. There was a big effort. Has speed so if Wilkin Garcia can slow things down on the front, we might get a big price.
Jeff’s Playbook: 4 units to win, 5 units to place and 6 units to show. EXBX 6-2-7.

Good luck.
