Tampa Bay Downs for Saturday
Race 5: #3 Moonshinegin (8-1): It’s no secret trainer Gerald Bennett has been on fire (13-for-27) and he has a 2-year-old here getting Lasix for the first time and he’s 36% with that move. Jockey Albin Jimenez rides and he’s 2ofr-3 at the meet for Bennett.
Race 7: #4 Schaddel (6-1): Trainer Jason DaCosta is off to a slow start at the meet (0 for 6) but he has won here in the past. This gelding gets his second start over the surface and DaCosta is 43% with horses going sprint-route-sprint.
Race 8: #12 Firsthand Report (8-1) (turf only): Super trainer Todd Pletcher ships this 3-year-old in to run against older. She seems to run well fresh and Pletcher is 43% with jockey Eddie Castro.
Race 10: #10 Zouzou (9-2) (turf only): Leading jockey Daniel Centeno takes this mount for trainer Kathleen O’Connell and he’s the best turf rider in this colony. He will need it here from the outside, but he can work out a trip.
Los Alamitos for Saturday
Race 1: #6 In Control (7-2): Trainer Justin Clark hasn’t had as big a year in 2016 as in 2016 but he hasn’t forgotten how to train. He is 41% with horses off a 46 to 90-day layoff. He has run second three times over this track. Maybe today is the winning day.
Race 3: #7 Forthe Loveof Patty (6-1): This filly finished third over this track in her debut and went to the sidelines for trainer Mike Harrington. Obviously she had an issue, but she probably has grown in the meantime as she drops into a maiden claimer for the first itme. This is her home track and should relish it.
Race 4: #6 Princess Tiznow (5-2): This filly comes out of a key race that has produced two winners in the first two to run back and she finished second in that race. She has early speed and Joe Talamo should take advantage of that.
Race 8: #4 Indygo Holiday (9-2): This gelding has a 2-1-0-1 record going around two turns on this track and trainer gets Norberto Arroyo Jr. to ride.
Good luck.
