Horse racing, Santa Anita

Santa Anita opinions for Saturday, Oct. 29

Race 4: #5 We Go Now (7-2): This son of Lucky Pilpit didn’t like going two turns at all so trainer Cliff Sise cuts him back to one turn. This 2-year-old has shown speed in all but one of his races and that’s always good when dropping from MSW to maiden claiming for the first time.

Race 7: #2 Bobby G (4-1): We liked this 2-year-old on the stretchout last time and he almost got the job done, finishing fourth by less than a length. He gets some extra distance here and Flavien Prat sticks with him.

Race 9: #7 Ann Arbor Eddie (9-2): Trainer Doug O’Neill always seems to have his 2-year-olds for owner Reddam Racing LLC ready to go at first asking and the sire Square Eddie is 16% first time out. There are several good works showing on the tab.

Good luck.
