Preview: There is a 50% chance of rain Friday morning so it’s likely races will come off the grass. That being said the No. 1-2 posts are hitting at just 14% (8-58) in dirt sprints while posts 3-5 are 49% (28-58). In dirt routes, post No. 1 is 33% (9-for-27) while posts 1-3 are 67% (18-for-27).

Race 3: #4 Horizontalyspeakin (6-1) (turf only)
Should this stay on the grass we like this gelding, which has won five times on the Santa Anita green. Granted he’s never down the hill but we like the cutback in distance and switch to jockey Tyler Baze, who is 20% with trainer Mark Glatt.

Race 6: #1 Yodelers Way (7-2)
Trainer Mike Harrington is pulling out all of the tricks by putting blinkers on and getting Rafael Bejarano to ride. Harrington is 26% with beaten favorites.
