Horse racing, Santa Anita

Santa Anita opinions for Friday, Oct. 21

Preview: Another card that doesn’t look very appealing. Santa Anita has hit the wall already? Just a couple of stats on the new turf course. Down the hill, the inside two posts are 0-for-12. Meanwhile, horses going two turns the inside three posts are 9-for-23 (39%).

Race 6: #8 Wild Mischief (4-1)
This gelding drops to his lowest level ever and holds a class advantage over these maiden claimers. Has runs his top Beyer Speed Figure over this track so maybe today is graduation day.

Race 8: #6 Princess Marie (6-1)
This filly made a move down the stretch in her debut at LRC and has the top Brisnet Late Pace Rating. Jockey Fernando Perez keeps the mount and trainer Kristin Mulhall is 22% with 2-year-olds.
