They will go to the post Saturday for the final jewel of the Triple Crown in the Belmont Stakes, but there will be nothing on the line except bragging rights.

Exaggerator made sure of that when he beat Nyquist in the Preakness Stakes three weeks ago and it might not have mattered any way as Nyquist got sick after the race and had to be put on anti-biotics and would have missed this 1 1/2-mile race any way.

As for Saturday’s race, I think Exaggerator is the horse to beat, but I like Suddenbreakingnews, which is getting a huge jockey switch to Hall of Famer Mike Smith by trainer Donnie Von Hemel. The son of Mineshaft had some traffic issues early in the Kentucky Derby, but then closed strongly in the stretch to finish fifth. I think Smith will have him a little closer in New York.

I like Exaggerator to finish no worse than second followed by Governor Malibu and Creator.
