Preview: Not a bad Derby Day card with 10 races and the smallest field is eight horses. Trainers Chavez, Hemingway and Sifano are all closing the meet strong and have had at least three winners the last 14 days.

Race 2 – Tam
#6 Wagga Wagga (12-1) (turf only): This gelding just broke his maiden over the main track and now goes to the turf course. Trainer Ian Hemingway is 25% going from dirt to turf and jockey Daniel Centeno is 40% with Hemingway the last 60 days.

Race 3 – Tam
#3 Go Charlie Go (10-1): Trainer Raymond Stifano is 4-for-11 the last 14 days and he’s 2-for-7 with horses making their third start off a layoff like this gelding. Jockey Pedro Cotto Jr. is 27% with Stifano the last 60 days.

Race 6 – Tam
#4 Seventyseven Honor (turf only) (5-1): This gelding just broke his maiden in front-running style over this course. Trainer Joseph Minieri is 20% horses breaking their maiden in their last race and he’s 44% with jockey Pedro Cotto Jr. over the last 60 days, The 4-year-old also has the best closing pace rating from Brisnet.

Race 7 – Tam
#10 Twotwenty (8-1): This gelding hasn’t shown much in seven career starts but goes from a 3% trainer to Kathleen O’Connell, who is a 16% trainer. She is 22% when dropping a horse two or more class levels and she gets leading jockey Antonio Gallardo to ride.
