Preview: Back to normal on a weekend with a 10-race card. Leading jockey Antonio Gallardo won three times on Friday. He has been slumping the last month so maybe he’s back in the groove.
Race 6 – Tam
#2 Trick City (5-1) : Trainer Wayne Mogge has a quietly good meet with 6 wins from 31 starts (19%). He has been trying to get this daughter of Hat Trick on the turf in two of her last three races without success due to weather. He tries again here after breaking her maiden in the slop. Hat Trick gets 14% winners on the turf.
Race 8 – Tam
#10 Cash King (4-1): Trainer Gerald Aschinger has some awesome numbers here with this 3-year-old gelding. He is 43% first time turf, and 50% first time route and third time off a layoff. It’s not a great post in a race with plenty of first-timers, might hold an experience edge.
Race 10 – Tam
#4 Awalkinthemoonlite (7-2): Trainer Anthony Granitz does well with horses going around two turns and with horses dropping in class. This mare is coming off a poor effort at Gulfstream Park. Back with her friends, Granitz goes to leading rider Antonio Gallardo.
