Horse racing, Los Alamitos

Los Alamitos RC opinions for Friday, April 15

A lot of top jockeys are taking this meet off to ride at Keeneland or take a vacation. So look for new jockey/trainer combinations. That should open the door for Tyler Baze and Edwin Maldonado, who closed the Santa Anita meet on fire.

Race 6 – LRC

#5 Coyote Fly: Trainer Ron Ellis scratched over the weekend when the track came up wet at Santa Anita. He is 36% first off the claim and Fernando Perez takes the mount.

Race 7 – LRC

#9 Lakia: This filly has the top Prime and Early Pace Rating from Brisnet. Trainer Jonathan Wong is 36% with beaten favorites and 41% with horses on the dirt. Edwin Maldonado picks up the mount.
