Santa Anita opinions for Saturday, April 9

Race 2: #7 Cherokee Dynasty (9-2): This colt has plenty of speed which might be good on a wet track plus good mud breeding. Trainer Steve Miyadi is 23% second off the layoff and 25% with claimers.

Race 8: #2 Exaggerator (4-1): I think this 3-year-old bounced off his 2016 debut loss to Nyquist and will be more fit here plus he has decent mud pedigree. Trainer Keith Desormeaux is 26% third off the layoff.

Race 11: #7 Bako Sweets (8-1): Throw out that last turf effort and just look at that maiden victory at first asking. This filly has good speed and the sire Twirling Candy has an awesome 35% winners in the mud.
