Preview: The two 5-day weeks are done, but they have taken their toll as only four of the 10 races have 10 or more entries on this card. Not sure what TBD management did it, but suggestion for next year: DON’T.
Race 3 – Tam
#3 Navy Princess (6-1)
This filly has found how to win at this track with two straight victories and trainer Forrest Kaelin isn’t afraid to move her up. The first two of three horses returning from her last race have come back to win so it’s proving to be a key race. On top of that, leading rider Antonio Gallardo is staying aboard.
Race 5 – Tam
#4 Hubert’s Lulu (6-1)
This filly has never run this cheap before as she hits rock bottom. She had to need her last after nearly four months off and comes out of a race that has two next out winners from six starters. Jockey Gary Wales stays on.
Race 8 – Tam
#9 Giocouragement (12-1) (turf only)
Tough maiden race with trainers like Delacour, Albertrani, Proctor and Mott running in this turf event. Kentucky-based trainer Ben Colebrook tried to get this colt on the grass first time but it was washed off and the Gio Ponti 3-year-old finished third on the dirt. Let’s see what he does on his preferred surface.
