Preview: Kind of a weak card. Jockey Antonio Gallardo did his usual thing with 7 winners last week, but Fernando De La Cruz matched that number and Ronnie Allen Jr had six. Not up to par these days is Daniel Centeno as he had one winner over the four days of racing.
Race 5 – Tam
#6 Stormy Pacific (8-1)
This gelding has been away since July but Chicago-based horses have done well at the meet and trainer Dale Bennett is 22% with horses coming off a 90-day layoff or longer. Luis Garcia rides and he’s 14% with Bennett.
Race 8 – Tam
#5 Brassy Ben (7-2)
This will be the fourth different track this 3-year-old has run at and trainer Anthony Pecoraro puts blinkers on, a move he is 22% with. Jockey Scott Spieth jumps on and he is 31% with the trainer.
Race 9 – Tam
#6 Ruby Oushani (6-1)
Jockey Manoel Cruz could have ridden another filly in this race with lower odds but he opts for this 3-year-old trainer by Ben Colebrook, who is 22% with horses first time on grass. Cruz and Colebrook teamed up earlier in the meet with a winner.
