This gelding takes a drop in class off a Del Mar race and leading rider Santiago Gonzalez, who won three races on Friday, jumps on and that’s good enough for me.

Race 7: #5 Roman Tizzy (7-2) 

This 6-year-old has two wins and a third over this track and that man Santiago Gonzalez reclaims the mount. The gelding should be pressing the pace early.

Race 8: #10 Lily Pod (5-2) 

This 3-year-old is making her third start off a layoff and finished second over this track as a maiden. Trainer Richard Baltas is 24% with horses going from turf to dirt and he’s 26% with jockey Mario Gutierrez.
