Hate to sound like a broken record but SoCal horsemen aren’t supporting this meet like others at Los Alamitos as the largest field is nine in one race.
Race 1: #3 Derby Glass (3-1)
Just five entered here but tough race. This gelding was claimed by Victor Garcia, who is 30% first off the claim and no doubt claimed him to run here with a second-place finish over this track showing.
Race 3: #8 Emotional Drive (2-1)
This filly ran third to MSW state breds and was the only horse not to win back so far from an October 15 maiden claimer at Santa Anita which has produced 6 next out winners. This filly is back with her friends and should romp here for trainer Dan Azcarate. One caveat, #4 Lana Caprina (8-1) comes out of that Oct. 15 race but can’t see her beating Emotional Drive.
Race 8: #5 Anillo (3-1)
Trainer Quinn Howey is one of favorites to follow when he ships to SoCal as he is 31% with shippers. This gelding has won over the track before and jockey Felipe Valdez jumps on.
