FIRST RACE: 1. Curlin Iron, 2. Kings Adventure, 3. Silver Torch. LONG SHOT: Dragon Attack.
CURLIN IRON (8-1), a 3-year-old colt, was entered in a maiden claiming $20K earlier in the meet but was scratched when he drew the No. 1 post. Now he draws the outside and trainer Bill Spawr is a surprising 2-for-5 with first-timers at Del Mar the last three years. KINGS ADVENTURE showed high speed in a maiden special weight race and will be tough to beat.
SECOND RACE: 1. Miss Kit Kat, 2. Swiss Intrigue, 3. Theatrical Cast. LONG SHOT: Never Again.
THIRD RACE: 1. Te Rapa, 2. Boat Trip, 3. Mr. Commons. LONG SHOT: Forest Mouse.
FOURTH RACE: 1. Eltoninadress, 2. One Magical Girl, 3. Sizzling Lassie. LONG SHOT: Fanny Brice.
FIFTH RACE: 1. My Slew, 2. Heir of Storm, 3. American Pride. LONG SHOT: Cuzan.
SIXTH RACE: 1. Wonderfully, 2. Sheza Smoke Show, 3. Istanford. LONG SHOT: Time and Tides.
SEVENTH RACE: 1. Natal (best bet), 2. Minnaloushe, 3. Best in Class. LONG SHOT: Indian Proof.
NATAL (7-2), a daughter of City Zip, had trouble at the start in her February debut and has been on sidelines since. She showed a bit of speed and now drops to the bottom level of maiden claimers for trainer John Sadler, who employees apprentice jockey Drayden Van Dyke.
