THIRD RACE: 1. Sun Spots (grass only), 2. Unusually Green, 3. Do Some Magic. LONG SHOT: Duke of Cornwall.

SUN SPOTS, a son of Unusual Heat, showed big improvement in his second time down the hill on the grass. Now he gets to go two turns for the first time and jockey Corey Nakatani, one of the best turf riders in the colony, decides to take the call.

==

FOURTH RACE: 1. Tasha’s Courage, 2. Dehere Is Gone, 3. No Ez Money. LONG SHOT: Mahogany Run.

==

FIFTH RACE: 1. Luckyvic, 2. Lord Kitra, 3. Incredible Journey. LONG SHOT: Putahexonher.

==

SIXTH RACE: 1. Bobo, 2. Valdirone, 3. Shining Son. LONG SHOT: Jaylo Marino.

==

SEVENTH RACE: 1. Christopher Street, 2. Deraptor, 3. Awesome Return. LONG SHOT: Lucky Views.

==

EIGHT RACE: 1. Wild Optimism (best bet), 2. Euroclydon, 3. Moscato Girl. LONG SHOT: Tiz But a Dream.

Trainer Peter Miller has found quite a pipeline from New Mexico to Southern California, pulling off this move several times. This 3-year-old filly WILD OPTIMISM drops into a maiden claimer for the first time and certainly is facing better, but she has some early speed, which is always a good thing at the Great Race Place.
