==

Trainer Rob Atras brings FLEXIPLUS, a 6-year-old horse, over from Arizona’s Turf Paradise and brings along his own jockey, Daniel Vergara. The only reason we can see for this move up in class is the distance of this race: 1¼ mile on the turf. This horse has run his two best races going longer than this, but maybe there will be a small upset here. The price will be right.

==

SIXTH RACE: 1. Day of Fury, 2. The Admiral, 3. Icy Ride. LONG SHOT: El Nino Trouble.

==

SEVENTH RACE: 1. Kochees, 2. Ambitious Brew, 3. Sheer Talent. LONG SHOT: Rangi.=

==

EIGHTH RACE: 1. Dehere Is Gone (best bet), 2. The Cleaners, 3. Omar Little. LONG SHOT: Stealth Fighter.

Veteran trainer Bill Spawr doesn’t have a reputation with maidens, but he sure does have good numbers. He is 29% in first starts, 40% with debuting maiden claimers and 50% with maiden claimers overall. He puts regular barn rider Agapito Delgadillo aboard his 5-year-old first-timer DEHERE IS GONE, who has had a couple of nice works for the level.
