Selections for Thursday, July 18
FIRST RACE: 1. Hidinginplainsight, 2. Tasty Treat, 3. Bares Tripper. LONG SHOT: Minds Eyes.
There is a ton speed in this race and here’s hoping jockey Mike Smith takes HIDINGINPLAINSIGHT just off the pace and come running on the turn.
SECOND RACE: 1. She’s All Yours, 2. Ebony N Ice, 3. Frequent Fame. LONG SHOT: Halfapondarosa.
SHE’S ALL YOURS ships in from Northern California for trainer Bill Morey, who gets leading rider Rafael Bejarano to ride. They have won 38 percent of the time the last two years.
THIRD RACE: 1. Real Bright Boots, 2. My Pal Ariana, 3. Pipedreaming. LONG SHOT: Frannie’sspiritoo.
REAL BRIGHT BOOTS comes out of a key race from last September at Santa Anita and Bejarano jumps on trying to defend his 2012 riding title.
FOURTH RACE: 1. QUINNETTE (best bet), 2. Rowdy Gal, 3. J and S Express. LONG SHOT: Addendum
QUINNETTE moves up in class after a decent effort and big workout last week. Trainer Eric Kruljac must have a lot of confidence.
FIFTH RACE: 1. Zia Zia Zia, 2. Painted Woman, 3. Plus One. LONG SHOT: Vionnet.
Trainer Mike Puype has been on fire lately and is looking for the hat trick with ZIA ZIA ZIA.
SIXTH RACE: 1. Foogard, 2. Slewpy Again, 3. Chatter Up. LONG SHOT: Blaisden Grey.
Another Northern California shipper comes south looking for the cash with FOOGARD and Bejarano rides for Bob Hess.
SEVENTH RACE: 1. Gypsy Robin, 2. Executiveprivilege, 3. Reneesgotzip. LONG SHOT: Curvy Cat.
Very tough allowance race for fillies and mares on the main track. GYPSY ROBIN comes in off the layoff for Puype. She won the Raven Run at Keeneland on Polytrack last year.
EIGHTH RACE: 1. Winsome Charm, 2. Black N Beauty, 3. Te Rapa. LONG SHOT: Tamarack Smarty.
WINSOME CHARM has won over the course before and draws the No. 5 post. She drops in class and should be forwardly placed.
